She is also a graduate of the University of Delaware in 1985 with a BA in Biology and a graduate of George Washington University in Washington DC with a PHD in Genetics. She married Theron Reid Lewis on August 21, 1999 at The Mayflower Hotel, Washington DC. Reid is a 1980 graduate of Loudon County High School in Leesburg, VA. He is also a graduate of Duke University, Durham, NC with a BS degree in Computer Science with Minors in Economics and Mathematics. Reid owns a software development firm.
